Digital accessibility on ruhepol.de: so that our content reaches everyone.
Ruhepol Health Organization GmbH is committed to equal opportunities in digital healthcare. That is why our own website should also be easy to read and easy to use for everyone, regardless of age, eyesight or disability.
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA) and the European standard EN 301 549.
This statement applies to the website ruhepol.de and all its subpages.
This statement was prepared on 25 October 2026.
It is based on a self-assessment according to WCAG 2.1 AA: a review of keyboard operation, colour contrast, text alternatives, heading structure and zoom on computers and smartphones.
We check new content before it is published and update this statement whenever the accessibility status changes.
On every page you will find our yellow accessibility symbol (a person with outstretched arms): on a computer at the right edge of the screen, where it stays at reading height as you scroll; on a smartphone at the bottom right, within easy reach of your thumb. Click it to open the tools.
Switch it on once and it shows the text you point at with your mouse or reach with the keyboard, greatly enlarged at the bottom of the screen.
Enlarges the text on all pages in several steps up to 175 %. The page rearranges itself automatically and nothing is cut off.
Switch it on once and you decide: every text block is outlined in yellow as soon as you point at it. Click it, and exactly this block is read aloud.
Use the small × to minimise the tools; they then remain available as a symbol at the top right of the header. Your settings are stored only locally in your browser, without cookies and without third-party services. Reading aloud uses the speech output of your browser or operating system.

The tools are entirely contained in the bookmark: nothing is loaded from the internet and no data is transmitted. Some particularly secured websites do not allow bookmark programs. The enlarged page size applies until the page is reloaded. Intended for desktop browsers; creating it on tablets and smartphones is cumbersome.
